If you have a PDF with different shapes and structures and you want to identify the dimensions and measurements of them, you can use the PDFelement App. The iOS application allows you to choose measuring units from the options provided.

The application instantly measures the distance, parameter, and area for a specific object accurately. It allows you to change the color of the measuring scandal to make it stand out within the document. Provided below are the steps on how to use the measuring tool offered by the PDFelement iOS application:

Step 1. Start by Importing the Document and Accessing the Feature

Once you have launched PDFelement on your iOS device, head to the “Tools” section and tap on the “Measure” option from the list.

Step 2. Configure the Measurement Settings

Tap on the units mentioned under the “Measure” section and select the “Scale Ratio” and “Snap” to perform further measurements.

Step 3. Measure the Distance

Enable the "Distance" icon from the top of the page and draw the line covering the distance you want to measure. You can change the color and border style by accessing the small window. Tap on the “More Settings” option for further customization.

Step 4. Personalize the Distance Line

Adjust the thickness, opacity, and other attributes, such as the fill color of the distance line, according to your preferences.

Step 5. Review the Results

Tap on the drawn line and select the “Results” option from the floating toolbar located above the distance. You can also copy or delete the selected distance. Moreover, you can also add a note to the drawn distance line for special instructions.

Step 6. Measure the Perimeter

Next, access the “Perimeter” tab from the top of the page and customize its attributes. Next, draw the perimeters on the area of the page where you want to know the measurements.

Step 7. Check the Measured Results

Once the perimeters are added, access the floating toolbar and tap on the “Result” option to review the measured results. You can also perform other actions like checking the properties or adding notes to the measurements.

Step 8. Measure the Area of a Certain Object

After enabling the “Area” tab, draw the area of the object on the screen by dragging your fingers. Once done, tap on the “Results” option to review the results.
