Step 1. Upload PDF File

If you have downloaded and successfully installed PDFelement, simply tap the icon to launch it. Now go to the bottom left of this primary window and click the “Open files” button. This will lead you to the file explorer window where you are supposed to choose the PDF file you want to start page number on page 3. This way, the program will apply page numbering to your selected pages beginning from where you choose to start.

Step 4. Start Page Number on Page 3

Once you are done choosing the pages you want to apply the page numbering, go to the “Page Numbering” section. In this section, you are given two options to number your pages. Click the “Begin new section” and ignore the other option. Within the “Style” field, provide your desired page numbering style. Use commas to separate the numbers. E.g., 1, 2, 3, or I, II, III, and so forth. You can also add a prefix to your numbering within the prefix field. However, it is not mandatory. Now that you want to start page numbering on page 3 enter the number 3 in the “Start” field. Click “Apply” to confirm your selections and allow the program to add page numbers starting from page 3.

Step 5. Save PDF File
